State meanings#
| State | Meaning |

| draft | Reviewed details can receive fresh approval. No funds have moved. |
| processing | The provider is evaluating the authorized instruction. |
| completed | A matching finalized receipt records settlement. |
| failed | No settlement receipt was created; inspect the error before retrying. |
Recovery#
The mock provider reuses the instruction reference. A completed receipt cannot debit twice. After an interruption, unresolved processing is marked retryable rather than treated as success. Production recovery must reconcile with the provider before deciding whether to resubmit.
