Current error behavior#
Local validation methods throw Error objects. Provider execution records a failed transfer with a human-readable error when settlement does not occur. Authentication failure can reject before processing begins.
Common causes#

| Identity stale or disabled | Stop resolution or execution; refresh through a verified source. |
| Insufficient settled TRY | Keep funds unchanged; let the user review funding. |
| Reference reused with different details | Reject instead of changing the old instruction. |
| Provider unavailable | Show the failure and preserve a stable retry reference. |
| Terms or schedule changed | Require review of current terms. |
Proposed API errors#
A future server should return stable machine-readable codes, a safe message and a correlation reference. These docs do not claim a shipped HTTP error schema or retry policy.
